Sunday Morning Link Love – Tutoring Edition

I’ve started tutoring Chemistry online, and I really like it. I’m happy with how it is going and it pays pretty well too. I get my first assessment of how I am doing this weekend, so hopefully the service is happy with me too. I made about $185 last week, and if I can keep that up, I will have a debt-destroying job on my hands after all! :)

Here are some of the posts around the personal finance world I found interesting this week from the M-Network and beyond:

And in the PaidTwice Rewind: Gift Cards, I Like ‘Em! Told you :) .

Off to get ready for an afternoon of spreading my love of chemistry to others by tutoring. A noble cause if I say so myself. ;) And a great way to build up the fund for the car repair bill destruction. Have a nice day!

  1. Your new gig sounds like it might do pretty well for you! Congrats!

    Thanks for the mention! :)

  2. Yes! I’m glad you enjoy it :) You’ll be back in the black in no time.

  3. Would you b e willing to post the Tutoring Service you work for? I’m a former teacher and would love to find out how to tutor online. Thanks.

  4. Great that you have found the Chemistry gig. It’s something that you like and it will help you destroy that debt in no time.

Here’s to C2H2Zr3….whatever it may be.

    Best regards

  5. That’s great! Chemistry though…yuck! Thanks for the link!

  6. I’m also curious about your online tutoring. I tutor student one on one and face to face as a part time job, but I am no way making close to that figure in a week. Maybe I can learn something from you on this?

  7. I tutor for tutor.com – Amanda @ Me vs Debt does too and she has a lot longer than me and knows more about it :) . I think right now they are only hiring chemistry and physics tutors but you can get waitlisted for other subjects.

Feel free to ask more and I hope that helps!

  8. Not too shabby for one week’s work. Perhaps I signed on with the wrong company. ;)

  9. I’ve been thinking of starting a little side job tutoring but didn’t want to take any more time away from being with my son. I will definitely look into online tutoring as it sounds like there is some money that can be made AND I could be home with my son while I did it.
Thanks for the advice and the great post!
