Meme: 4 Things

I have again been tagged, this time by One Snarky Chica With Issues, for another meme. What is a meme, you may ask? Good question, since the first time I was tagged I had to go look it up on wikipedia. Basically, think of it as a piece of cultural information, spreading virally blogger to blogger, in an effort to make us more human to our readers. Not that I’m not human enough, but I still think they are fun.

This meme is 4 things about a whole list of things, so let’s get to it!

4 Jobs I’ve had:

  1. Waitress
  2. Secretary in a CPA firm
  3. HR Assistant
  4. Substitute teacher

4 Movies I could watch over and over:

  1. Reservoir Dogs (I don’t seem that violent, do I?)
  2. Kim Possible (Yes, I am seriously a dork)
  3. The Princess Bride
  4. The Stand

4 TV Shows I watch:

  1. The 4400
  2. Survivor
  3. Iron Chef (America too)
  4. The Amazing Race

4 Places I’ve lived:

  1. Northampton, MA
  2. Charlottesville, VA
  3. East Lansing, MI
  4. Brockton, MA

4 Favorite Foods:

  1. potatoes of any sort
  2. eggs any way but raw
  3. ice cream. more please!
  4. anything with sour cream, salsa, and refried beans

4 Favorite Colors:

  1. Hunter Green
  2. Navy Blue
  3. Maroon
  4. Sunset-ish

4 Places I’d love to be right now:

  1. Anywhere I was actually asleep comfortably
  2. New England
  3. Aspen, CO
  4. My front porch

4 Names I love but could not use for my children (because my spouse objected):

  1. Drew
  2. Hunter
  3. Corbin
  4. Annalise

Thanks for the tag! I’m not going to pass it on simply because I’ll be away next week and won’t get to see the fun spreading, but if you want to answer in the comments or on your own blog, go for it and let me know! I’ll add a link to yours here :).

  1. Interesting, I hadn’t looked up meme before. It seems like we bloggers are seriously abusing the word. If it’s a piece of information, then most likely the questions and quizzes we toss around are not memes themselves, but the answers may be. After all, saying the words “four things” doesn’t give you any information about or help identify a culture, but talking about your favorite foods might.

  2. Memes are fun though no matter what we should be calling them :)
