Buyback book accepted hurrah!

Friday, July 6th, 2007

It has been a good day for random money to pan out.  Got the transfer from paypal, sold something on craigslist, and then just now I got an email that the textbook of my spouse’s I sent to a internet textbook buyback company was accepted for the full amount of the quote and a check will be mailed within the next two days.

A good day for random little bits of money.  But a lot of little bits can eventually add up to something fairly significant.  Hurrah!

And another no sale

Friday, July 6th, 2007

The woman buying the Bath and Body Works stuff flaked on me, so that’s still in my house. The ad is still up, maybe someone else will be interested, or maybe this woman will get her act together. Along with 14 other active ads…. someone has got to want something I don’t want any more or has outlived its use here.  My junk is another person’s treasure!  Right?  Heh.

Still $28 to snowflake (the paypal transfer has cleared) is good! Now to find more things in my house to put up on Craigslist…. I’m running out of ideas. I’ve found a bunch of stuff for the yard sale in the process but it isn’t worth the gasoline to pick it up to list stuff that is 25 cents or 50 cents each. Must ponder some more.

One sale down!

Friday, July 6th, 2007

Hopefully one to go, haven’t heard to confirm we are meeting at 11 so we’ll see.

Sold the playmat though so that’s another $10 to snowflake.  Up to $28, not too bad!  That reminds me, I should check if that paypal transfer posted….

The Craigslist Empire Grows!

Thursday, July 5th, 2007

I did manage to list all 5 things yesterday that I had taken pictures of, and I got an email for someone interested in buying one of the items this morning!  So I may be making a little more snowflake money :) .

I have 16 active listings on Craigslist right now.  That seems like a lot!!  Now if I could only sell a few of them… I’d take sales over listings any day :) .  I’ve only had to delete one listing because of a sale, the other two sales were from the big lot of clothes listing so I just modified the listing to reflect what was left each time.

It’s exciting over here!  Now I need to find 5 more things to sell….  decluttering my life feels pretty good.  :)

July Craigslist Goals

Wednesday, July 4th, 2007

I decided on my craigslist goals for July.

In the month of July, I am going to list at least 10 new things I have not listed before, and relist at least 5 of the things that haven’t sold. The relisting will be to relist a few of the “clothing” items into the “baby” section in case I am missing my target audience.

I decided to wait to explore ebay until after the September yardsale. I’d rather sell what I can without shipping and then move into that arena.

I downloaded the pictures today for 5 new items to list and edited the pics for uploading to craigslist. I have listed two of the items, and I hope to do the other three ads tonight. (So why am I babbling here instead of writing ads? I needed a break and this is more fun ;) . ) So if I complete that, I’ll be halfway to my July goal already :) .

Currently I have 13 active craigslist ads up… not too bad I think! My parents are coming to visit tomorrow for a week, and my mom is going to help me sort my son’s 18-24 months clothes into what I am keeping for my daughter and what I am going to pass on to friends with sons or try and sell. Hopefully I can come up with a listing or two from that. I’ve run out of shoes and other miscellaneous items around the house I can think of off the top of my head.

Need to finish unpacking those last few boxes from when we moved in. There has got to be something in there worth selling. :)
