I think it's just nice to have certain bills you don't have to pay every month, which is why I just paid off my student loans. Now I am trying to pay off my mortgage. I know "experts" say you shouldn't pay it off for the deduction etc. I think of it like, what if I didn't have to pay this huge bill every month? I'd have so much financial freedom! I am with ya.
