Family First, And Mine Is In Need

If the events of the last two months has not been enough, my mom went to the hospital this morning due to difficulty breathing (a complication of a virus she had plus her asthma).  I am honestly worried sick and cannot concentrate on anything.  I don’t know a status yet, my brother took her to the emergency room and will give me more information as it becomes available.

My brother is with her and I would appreciate any positive thoughts towards our family right now.  Thank you.

  34. I do so feel for your Mom having just been through the same. She is in the right place and they have such great treatment these days. The asthma is such a nusiance when it kicks in like this. I am holding her in my prayers and your family as well. I know my daughter does stress out so much but please take the time to have some quiet time. I hope that by this time the news will have been positive and if she is anything like me she will be looking forward to some warm sunny spring days, take care, Margaret

  35. You seem like a very strong person from what I’ve been reading. You will make it through this. For every bad there is 1 million good(even though it doesn’t seem like this now). 46. How wonderful is our species. So many caring souls stepping up to offer positive support to your Mum, your brother and you Jaimie.
One way I get solace when I’m really challenged is by taking care of myself first. I then have the where-with-all to enable me to be there for family. I buff up my resilience, Igo to that quiet space deep inside and ask myself “What do I need right now? What do I really need”? Then, (and this is the hard part), I LISTEN, really listen. Finally, I trust myself and ACT on those deeply personal insights – even when I doubt their effectiveness or they may seem impossible to carry out for whatever reason. It works for me most of the time – when I pay attention and, when I ACT on my inner voice’s wisdom.
Fin d some beautiful things in every moment and know that you and family are never alone.

    With love Diana
