This said, if it does make it back home, it could give you more problems tomorrow (I hope not!) or it could be fine for a while, even a long while. I would hang onto it for as long as it runs, but I agree, I wouldn't pour any more money into it. If it does last even another six months, you'll be much further along your road. But don't take it on another long trip! You've been doing SO great, it would be wonderful if you could put off a new car purchase for now. But if you can't, you can't.
