Sunday Morning Link Love
Tomorrow is my son’s 4th birthday, so we’re having a little party today with a few friends. There will be much cake and ice cream and I am looking forward to eating it. Oh, and celebrating my son’s birthday, of course.
Here are some of the articles that caught my eye over the past week or so:
My Two Dollars: Is Every Worker About To Get Paid Sick Days? My spouse does not, but does get three personal days that could be sick days.
Moolanomy: Are You Financially Healthy? The Five Stages. I think I am in stage three. But I am pretty close to stage two.
Gather Little By Little: The Key To Lowering Your Grocery Bill - Unit Cost. I agree - unit cost is key to understanding the best deal. I spend more time on my calculator at the grocery store than I do tutoring chemistry.
Plonkee Money: Credit Cards Are Like Alcohol. The analogy really spoke to me.
Dough Roller: How To Start A Money-Making Wordpress Blog. If you want to start another income stream through a blog, here are some great tips!
Mrs Micah: Is Blogging Passive Income? It can be, but usually, not so much. At least here.
Single Guy Money: Paid Off Debt and Credit Score Decreased. I have no idea how these things work but honestly, I don’t really care if my score decreases once I pay off debt. Good riddens debt!
Frugal Dad: The Physical Side Effects of Debt. I am working through the limited/missed opportunities one right now…
Simple Mom: Making Nutritious, Simple Baby Food From Scratch. I made all of the baby food for both my kids, and it was really very easy. And they got to have things that don’t come in jars, like avocados.
Smart Easy Money: When It Is Enough? I have seriously been pondering this for a month or two now. At some point, you can’t keep up extreme frugality and how do you balance that?
No Credit Needed: Resource Reminder - 33 Days Series. This is a great series about ways to pay down debt and save money, and I am biased towards it since I wrote two of the articles, including Day 33.
Frugal Upstate: Reader Recipe - Chickpea Spread. Sounds yummy, that’s why I included it.
Are You Going To Be This Way…: How Much Energy Does That Appliance Use? And again I vow we need to replace our refrigerator… this is a great comprehensive list. I also need a LCD computer monitor. Heh.
Now go have some cake in honor of my son! Happy Birthday little guy!
