Great post! My wife does most of the shopping, and I feel she might be an overbuyer. There is only two of us, so it is a challenge to eat perishable goods before they go bad. We have solved most of this situation by only shopping for a week at a time when it comes to fresh items and shopping for "stock up" items that have longer shelf lives about once a month. This works better for us. We still do end up throwing things away on occasion, but not in such large quantities.
