Sunday Morning Link Love - 12 Days of Christmas
Tomorrow a few random members of the personal finance blogosphere and I will be kicking off The 12 Days of Christmas - Personal Finance Style. I’ll have lots more information about it tomorrow including a full list of participants and what it’s all about. The project was the idea of Lynnae at Being Frugal, so it will start with her blog and end there too a week from Saturday. I’m day 5! So watch tomorrow for more details and then on Friday for my contribution! Five… Golden… well, not rings, I’ll tell you that.
While you’re waiting for that, here are twelve other posts that caught my attention in the past week:
- Moolanomy: Quick Wins, Pareto, and Personal Finance. The graphs are super cool and the concept is even cooler. I learned a lot.
- My Two Dollars: Make a New Year’s Resolution to Get Organized. This is great! I am so not organized. I need to at least try…
- Being Frugal: How Do You Track Your Money? I love looking at other’s budget methods.
- Gather Little By Little: Ways to Spend Your FSA Balance. Ours expired in August each year (why? who knows) so I’ve already dealt with this but here are great tips for next time!
- No Credit Needed: Day 31 of 33 Days to Reduce Debt and Increase Savings - Stay Away From the Mall. I have lots to say about this post so I’ll be writing a response to it in the next few days. Good stuff!
- Sense to Save: If Dave Ramsey Was a Housekeeper. Seriously, I am still laughing. This is must read.
- The Good Life On A Budget: Practically a Different Person. I have had a change in attitude like this too - I’ve asked for practical instead of wishful Christmas presents… I realized though, my spouse has always been like this. I could learn a lot from him.
- Five Cent Nickel: Shopping For (And Buying) A New Vacuum Cleaner. These tips were invaluable to me. We need a new vacuum sooner rather than later, ours has started to make self destructing noises, and if I can get a great new one for $60, it isn’t worth the $40-$80 the repair is likely to be on it.
- Loonies and Sense: And The Lightbulb Goes On. A discussion of a really different way (to me) of looking at how much to save and spend of your budget, and where.
- Brip Blap: How To Be A Good Partner To A Stay At Home Spouse. Spouse - take notes!
- Remodeling This Life: How Being Frugal Makes Me A Better Person. I could learn a lot from these self-revelations.
- We’re In Debt: Paying Down Debt May Decrease Your Ability To Stay Out Late. It sucks getting old and realizing it
And the PaidTwice Rewind: Snowflaking - A Primer. It may or may not relate to my 5th day of Christmas this week…. ![]()

Thanks for the mention! And incidentally I can’t believe it’s only a little more than 12 days to Christmas. Yikes!
