5 (or more!) Classes To Fix My Life Meme
So… a long while back, Lynnae at Being Frugal tagged me in the 5 classes to fix your life meme. And I meant to do it, and, well, so… like, I didn’t. Sorry! I got distracted by other things. But now I am catching up my memeness, if that is a word. (So yes, JvW, you are on deck. Expect me to do something with yours soon!).
So, on to the 5 classes to fix my life. The rules of the meme are:
“Devise a list of 5-10 courses you would take to fix your life. It’s more fun to be in classes with friends, so include one class from the person who tagged you that you’d also like to take. Tag five.”
The six classes I would take are:
- Organization 101: This is the one I would take with Lynnae. Seriously, I am a mess. I make lists and then I make lists to keep track of the lists and well my desk is a nightmare. I try though. I could use some guidance.
- Chemistry 401: Now that I am in the process of becoming an online tutor in Chemistry, I’d like a review of the more advanced concepts that I have forgotten. I’ve been working my way through my college textbooks but I’d love a little help from an expert. When I was in college, level 4– courses were always the advanced ones. Heh. This may have changed. Adjust course number appropriately if needed.
- The Big Picture 101: Okay, read that Chemistry explanation again. See how I get caught up in random mundane details? Does anyone really care about the exact course number of a class I invented for a meme? Nope. But yet I spend three sentences analyzing it. I need a wide-angle lens on life instead of my narrow pointy focus. In fact…
- Photography 101: I love to take pictures and I am pretty bad at it. I’d love to improve, and I would LOVE to have expert advice on what equipment to buy (in the future when we are not in debt of course!). And to go with that…
- Photoshop 101: once I take great pictures I would like to be able to do cool things with them! Score!
- Home Maintenance and Improvement 101: This is actually a class offered by our Parks and Rec department and someday I shall take it. And then install hardwood flooring in our entryway myself. Once I buy a circular saw. And I would learn how to take better care of the place too!
Okay I am tired thinking about all the things I need to learn so I am done! But I must pass it on to 5 lucky individuals so I tag:
- Remodeling This Life
- This Wasn’t In The Plan
- Kim Staudenraus.com
- It’s About Time I Woke Up
- Clawing Our Way To Financial Health
Enjoy!! ![]()

401 is advanced, tends to be juniors and seniors.
The photography and photoshop classes sound quite useful. I have photoshop on my computer but I’ve got only a basic or lower-intermediate knowledge of how to use it.

I think I could use most of those classes. Well except perhaps the chem class. BTDT do not want to attempt to go back without my tutor, and given that he lives in Hawaii, it would not be an easy thing. LOL

Sign me up for those photo classes. Actually, there are some good resources out there such as Shutterbug. The prices of DSLRs are dropping too. I see Nikons fully equipped for less than $600.

All right, I’m on deck! I would love to take the photography and photoshop classes. I actually installed our hardwood floor with little to no experience other than google. It was a blast. I recommend a miter saw, it’s easier to cut with. We just rented ours from Home Depot.
