Debt, Women, and Family - The Carnivals
A few of the carnivals I participated in this week went live today, and without further ado, lets check them out!
The Carnival of Debt Reduction made its way to Being Frugal, and my post, 10 Small Ways to Put a Big Dent in Debt, was an editor’s pick! Yay! I was just thinking about how I wanted to make it a goal to be an editor’s pick in an upcoming carnival. I was really happy with this post so I am glad other people like it too. Two other posts that grabbed my attention were:
- Finance and Fat: Get Out of Debt in 9 Steps # 1- Stop Borrowing Money. Frank’s been thinking about a plan to get out of debt for everyone and he’s really hit the mark on this one. I recommend the entire series!
- Journey to Financial Freedom: Motivate Yourself to Get out of Debt By Finding the Reasons. This is something I think about a lot and actually just recently wrote a guest post for another blog about motivation (with a slightly different twist). Good stuff!
The Carnival of Family Life is at On The Horizon and my post about not trusting my programmable thermostat was included (as well as my post at Hug Twice about how its hard to watch your child be bullied). I enjoyed this post as I thought about shopping for the holidays:
- Evomend: GPD: Getting Presents Done. I’m not quite so organized but I hope to get things done and done well in a timely fashion this year!
The All Women Blogging Carnival is at All For Women, its home, and my post Debt As Bondage was included! A frugal tip I found was:
- Living and Loving Every Minute of it: Being “On the Cheap” Isn’t Always So Bad! I LOVE this idea for a sand and water table. Love. I may do this next spring myself for my daughter.

Thanks for highlighting my posting; I haven’t been that organized that well in the past either - as I grow older however, it seems this is getting easier. Or maybe it’s just that we can’t stand wasting our time in the usual holiday shopping madness anymore…
You’ve posted quite a lot of helpful stuff here! Your snowflaking metaphor strikes a chord in me, that’s a vivid concept.
