Sunday Morning Link Love - On the Road
No, not yet, but soon we’ll be on the road, and I’m looking forward to the vacation but not so looking forward to the driving. Ah, what we’ll do to save money.
This week was a fun one for the M-Network - we did our first group writing project, all blogging about our best and worst financial decisions, and we welcomed a new member, My Two Dollars. Here are some other great posts fellow M-Network members wrote this week:
- My Two Dollars: The Benefit of Run-Flat Tires Far Outweigh Their Expense
- Plonkee Money: Accept Help
- Moolanomy: 529 College Savings Plan for Our Son
- Gather Little By Little: Murphy Please Go Away!
- The Dough Roller:4 Reasons to Buy Berkshire Instead of a Mutual Fund, And Buffett Ain’t One Of Them!
- Being Frugal: Starting Your Own Business the Frugal Way
- DebtFREE-Revolution: Sell the Car or Truck and BE FREE
- Christian PF: What is Your Status Symbol?
- Single Guy Money: My Cousin’s Birthday - I Got the Present
And some of my favorites from around the blogosphere this week:
- The Digerati Life: Can Cheaper Goods and Lower Prices Put Us At Risk? A Photo Essay
- Loonies and Sense: Moleskine Temptation
- Frugal Upstate: Best Of- Homemade Instant Oatmeal Packets
- Advanced Personal Finance: Looking back on my Debt
- The Good Life on a Budget: Emotionally Frugal
and the PaidTwice Rewind: Saving for my kids’ educations: Where Finance Becomes Personal. I haven’t opened 529 plans for my kids yet (because it takes me a long time to decide to do things, basically) but I do have college savings funds for them, and contribute to them even while in debt, even if by the numbers it may not make the most sense. I can’t ignore the power of compound interest.
