It’s Carnival Time!
It’s Monday! Time to explore some fun carnivals from around the blogosphere. What’s a carnival? Basically a collection of posts all written about a particular subject gathered together in one place. Most carnivals travel from blog to blog each week. I’ve had both the Carnival of Debt Reduction and the Carnival of Money Stories visit my blog, and I’ll be hosting the Festival of Frugality in early November.
This Monday I have six carnivals to share, in no particular order, and I’ve included a link to one other post from each carnival that particularly stood out or I especially liked.
First up is The Carnival of Debt Reduction, New York Edition, hosted this week by Moolanomy. My post The Emotional Impact of Temporary Setbacks was featured along with this post I particularly enjoyed:
- Debt=Stress posted at Frugal Dollar. How true. How true. I live it.
The Carnival of Family Life, one of my new favorite carnivals, was hosted this week by Real Life. My post about My Son Starts Taekwondo Today was included, and I also particularly enjoyed a frugally inspiring story:
- My Silly Little Purchase Paid Off posted at Life Lessons of a Military Wife. It is a purchase that saves her money by making eating generic cereal more fun than name brand. Yay!
Next, the All Women Blogging Carnival is at Crazy Meezer this week and includes my post It’s only $35 a day…. Another post I quite enjoyed from this carnival was:
- Stay on Budget With Holiday Spending at The Peculiar Club. I am going to need a lot of help with this!
The Carnival of Debt Management is at Debt Consolidation Lowdown and featured my post, The Beauty of Organizing Your Money, as well as this article I enjoyed:
- I Didn’t Need Dave Ramsey To Get Out Of Debt posted at Money, Matter, and More Musings. Golbguru’s path to how he got out of debt - I have to say I started with a similar one in 2003 and it did okay for me, but not great, which is why I got more aggressive. But I think I have more debt to manage ;).
I submitted The Feeling of Seeing the Balance Transfer Complete to the Carnival of Money, Growth and Happiness hosted by Credit Card Lowdown. I also enjoyed:
- The End of Cash? posted at Gather Little By Little. Is the world becoming solely electronic? I am really starting to think so…. except I do cash craigslist business.
I am again an editor’s pick at the Carnival of Everything Finance with The Craigslist Empire Is Back On Track, yay! Another article I quite enjoyed was:
- Fly or Drive: Which is Cheaper? (A Definitive Answer, Once and For All) posted at Frugal Panda. Since we drive all over the place to avoid paying for airplane tickets, I quite enjoyed the numbers breakdown (yes, I like numbers lol).
Meet me back here on Wednesday for the rest of the week’s carnivals and festivals wrapup!

Great post about the carnivals. They can give you a lot on information in a little space. There are some you pointed out that I will definitely have to spend more time visiting.
